Welcome to Vantbanken

Vantbanken - where mittens meet and mate, is a part of a project involving found gloves and mittens.

Vantbanken's vault contains single gloves and mittens, collected in the streets of Uppsala, Sweden.

The main purpose of the project is to give the gloves and mittens a new chance to find mates and cover hands again. If you, wherever you live, have a suitable mate in your drawer you are, in exchange for digital photos, very welcome to collect a glove or mitten from Vantbanken.
